April's Maple is located on 800 acres of Canaan, VT land originally owned by Gloria Jackson's dad, Elmont Jackson. The Northern Forest Canoe Trail is the longest paddling trail in the nation and runs from Old Forge, New York through Vermont, Quebec, and New Hampshire to Fort Kent, Maine. The Connecticut River Paddlers’ Trail is a series of primitive campsites and access points from the river’s headwaters in Pittsburg, NH to the Massachusetts border.
